Our Cylinder Repair Process
Define
All cylinders are cleaned and disassembled in our shop in Richmond, VA. From there, our team inspects the cylinder and its components using our proprietary inspection software. We measure the rod, barrel, seals, and take pictures & notes so that we can determine what repairs are needed.
Next Step
The customer receives their inspection report and an estimate for the repairs that are needed.
Deliver
From there our team assembles the repaired seals, installs the new cylinder, and then test the repaired cylinder on our hydraulic test bench under pressure. Fully extended, fully extracted, then a mid extension static test. This also verifies that the barrel is not ballooned and that the cylinder will not drift. Testing ensures that the cylinder is repaired properly the first time. We do this so that our customers receive the quality product that they expect from Baker Hydraulics.
